Where are you?

By feeling single - This FML is from back in 2015 but it's good stuff - United States - Burbank

Today, it's been so long since I heard from him, I had to look at my boyfriend's Facebook page to see if we're still in a relationship. FML

What if the OP already left serval messages and still hasn't gotten a call back? How many "Tag, you're it" calls are allowed before you become stalker status?

People here joking about OP's definition of "forever" is equivalent to a matter of hours or days. But this hits home for me. OP, I've been there. I was in a LDR for over a year, and the very last words I heard from my (ex)boyfriend were "goodnight, love you. Talk to you tomorrow." And like that, never heard from him again. Absolute nothing. Yes, I've tried texting and calling and Skyping him for a couple weeks. No response. All of his friends told me they haven't seen him either. So I conceded and told myself I was single even though no break up occurred. It is now 4 months later.

If so, his friends would've informed me.

That is one of my biggest fears. I'm in a LDR and I'm so scared he will just drop me without a word or something will happen and I won't know

1) Explicitly ask him to reply in your message. Maybe use 2 or 3 messages if you really like him. 2) Skype and Facebook has confirmation that the message was seen. Look for them. 3) If he doesn't reply for 24 hours after reading it, dump his sorry ass.

#26 how would his friends inform you if they don't know anything about him just like you

LDR's don't work. Ever. There is no exception. If you love someone you will be with them no matter what.

LDR do work. I dated my now husband for 6 months and then due to work we were long distance for a year and a half. We managed to maintain a stable and happy relationship. Then we married and managed to get jobs in the same place. It was a bit difficult but it can work. If both parties are dedicated to making an LDR work than it will. If one or both people don't find they can handle the pressure and trust it won't. End of story. We have been married for 5 years now.

That made no sense. "If you love some one you you will be with them no matter what, but LDRs never work". Me and my bf have been together for a year and a half. We love each other enough that we can deal with the current circumstances. Go take your pessimism elsewhere.

They can work, but it's gonna be harder. When you know it's not a permanent LDR, you can make it. But the longer the time away, the more complicated it gets. Being in a LDR is leading the life a single person, especially for the one who is going away and starts making a new life. It works sometimes, but it's not gonna be easy. Hang on!

I had a friend that said that I never saw her or talked too her for days and ways pissed at me for it....in reality it had been only 24 hours on the dot....so what may seem like forever to you, may in reality be only a day or so.

You should probably do something about that... Like maybe calling him?

I can actually relate to OP because I have (had?) a boyfriend in the Navy who can go without speaking to me for months, yet he's always posting on facebook. Seeing as he's in another country, we don't text/call with our phone numbers. We use Skype for that. He never logs onto Skype anymore, which is why I haven't been able to make an iniative to confront him about the situation. As far as looking him up on Facebook, I don't have my own. So I normally get on a friend's Facebook to check up on him. (As to why I don't just message him on my friend's account. 1. I feel that would be weird that he knows I'm stalking him. 2. I'll admit that I'm afraid to talk to him.) Not saying that OP has the exact same situation, but maybe it's not as simple as calling him? That's just my two sense. Feel free to downvote.

I think that's a very real situation and it's certainly possible OP is in a similar one, but wait, why are you afraid to talk to your boyfriend? And if it means you get to talk to him why wouldn't you just create a Facebook of your own?

My mom won't let me create one despite being a junior in high school. As for being afraid, I always feel as if I'm a bother. And generally, I can be shy around the people I'm closest to.

You might need to fix these communication issues OP, have a long talk with him about your concerns

some guys like their space I know I do but if he at least doesn't text you wen he can then he is not taking you seriously

I really don't think that Facebook is a strong indicator of a relationship status

go there and kick his ass , fb can't do this

I bet my left hand that this "so long" does not exceed 10 days.

If it's been 3 days, can we just have a pinky?

Seriously? You've obviously never been in a relationship. You talk more than once every ten days.
