Today, I went into Target's dressing rooms to try some pants on, leaving my full cart outside. An employee thought it had been left there, and took it to put the stuff back. My coat, hat, gloves were in it. I had to walk home. FML

Today, I went to the grocery store, but once I'd filled my cart, I realized that I'd forgotten my wallet, and because I'm not the sort of animal who just dumps stuff in random aisles, I had to awkwardly put all my items back on their shelves. FML

Today, I realized the dress I bought yesterday still had the security tag on. I returned to the store to get it removed, only to realize I'd lost my receipt. The lady at the counter thought I stole it, called security, and had me escorted out, dress-less. FML

Today, I was grocery shopping when I left my cart to grab an item. I returned, and started pushing the cart again. Halfway through the store, a furious lady confronted me, demanding her cart back. I had to walk back in shame to find my own actual cart, which was now nowhere to be found. FML

Today, while trying on an outfit in the dressing room at the mall, I got locked in. I decided to take 5 minutes to try and get out by crawling under the door. After I got out, I realized I left my cell phone, my purse and my pants inside. FML

Today, I walked two miles to the store, filled my cart with groceries, and got to the cashier… only to find I had forgotten my wallet. I tried to explain but got the nastiest stank-eye from the cashier, the manager, and everyone in line behind me. I walked two miles home, hungry and embarrassed. FML

Today, I went to the supermarket to buy my weekly groceries and only realized after a long queue at the checkout, then having the cashier scan my entire cart, that I'd forgotten my purse. I had to leave everything behind and walk out empty-handed, while everyone in line behind me gave me dirty looks. FML

Today, I went to the store, but after I'd selected my items, I saw that I'd forgotten my wallet. When I tried to explain to the cashier, he thought that I was trying to steal and called the cops. My roommate had to come to the store to save me. FML

Today, I accidentally left the tag on the new pants that I wore to work. Nobody had brought it to my attention for the whole day until finally, before I was about to go home, every single employee and my boss let me know by yelling in unison and laughing as I left the building. FML

Today, I went to the dry-cleaner's and went to get my bag of laundry from my trunk, but I ended up dropping the bag. My dirty underwear blew around the parking lot. I had to chase it all down as a bunch of people looked on. FML

what, you just left your stuff in the shop? Why didn't you get some staff to retrieve it for you, like, the staffmember who actually put the stuff away? Yes, the person who moved your stuff was stupid, but I can't help but think you were a bit stupid yourself for just walking off and not getting your stuff back. It wouldn't have been that difficult.

I'm the OP and I just want to say that this was edited after I submitted it. It originally said that I DID leave my cart in the designated area and was literally in the dressing room for one minute. The employee swears the cart had been sitting there for at least half an hour. My stuff was not in lost and found and the girl couldn't remember what she did with it. A friend of mine who works there with this girl says it wouldn't surprise her if the girl had taken them, as she has admitted that she has taken other personal belongings. So thanks, FML, for editing my submission and making me look stupid. I now know that the posts without much information probably had it when it was submitted.

Regardless you are stupid for leaving your personal stuff in a shopping cart and not bringing them into the fitting room. What if it wasn't an employee who took your cart away? What if it was another shopper who'd grab your things while walking by? The point is that if you are smart you'll never leave your personal things unattended. So, it doesn't matter how many details you put into your FML. Your actions are still stupid.
