was the thief also a student?
You should take that to the principal, that's bullcrap OP.
Look the librarian in the eye, take a book off the shelf, and walk out the door without checking it out, you can't return it if your banned
Then he would just be in trouble for stealing seeing as the book wasn't actually checked out.
I hate school, I was was expelled once for hitting this guy back after he hit me, apparently the cameras only got a good capture of me punching him, he didn't even get a suspension.
I got banned from my school library because someone else knocked over my drink. Funny, I apologized and cleaned up the whole thing and they still blame it on me.
Did you at least get your bag?
I don't understand the thinking of school administrations sometimes. Kids could be bullying another and nothing will be done about it until it erupts in a fight, and suddenly the victim is to blame. That is so stupid. What do they think, you were supposed to just sit by and calmly tell a teacher that your bag got stolen, meanwhile the more time you waste the worst the situation gets? I feel like some administrators live in another land where kids are never supposed defend themselves.
In Audtralia the victim gets blamed because you're supposed to ingnore the bully. Plus, a lot of the time the bullies are great liars, so they make it out as if the victim has done the bullying and try just defended themselves. Even if someone has stolen your stuff and the teacher saw it, all they get is a warning. If you're in primary school (elementary) the entire class will get detention. The point of this is to show that your actions affect others, but in reality, the bully doesn't give a crap because, in their mind they're not in trouble.
I kind of see that perspective, but the bully doesn't care what happens to other kids for he reason that they are a bully. I feel like that lets kids off easy for being mean to each other so they learn any consequences or any real lesson.
Don't go to the school library. Just don't

The schools can take their zero tolerance policy and stick it up their asses. Getting banned for trying to get your stuff back is some major bullshit.
