OP said the job would require him to be on the go. Meaning that either he'd have to have a laptop when going on business trips to keep and record information, or the company would have to provide him with one. He was pointing out that he already had one, so they'd be saved the expense of providing him one.
Your daughter's life sucks for having a father who doesn't know the spelling of laptop. Seriously.
how old are you buddy? About 15 years ago, it wasn't incorrect to call them labtops, lots of people did. Then Best Buy, etc came around, the commercials happened and the kids decided that laptop was the only correct term. I guess maybe I just gave away that I'm way too old to be spending time on sites like fml. Oh well
you know what? the people who are AGAINST how this person didn't know it was called a laptop are not being fair and are really bias i voted FML for you...whoever wrote the original fml you submitted in your resume for a job and i hope that you get that job...you certainly deserve it no matter what others think
I thought it was labtop for the longest time tooooo. Also apparently there's an old computer company called Labtop Computers Inc.
If you've seriously thought it was labtop all this time, you might want to have your hearing checked. If that clears, then have your daughter write your next resume. Serious FAIL.
EPIC FAIL. How can you misspell "laptop"? YDI all the way.
"Are you sure she's really you're daughter?" FAIL while you're being snotty. Excellent.

It's hard for me to believe you've never seen the word "laptop" before. How about ads? How about the side of the box your laptop came in? How about news articles? even television ads?
YDI. You should ALWAYS spell check a resume before sending it.
