This could be one of two things, either boyfriend was not interested in this particular activity or boyfriend is losing interest in OP. The first is actually the more likely - Very few couples both enjoy all the same activities. Real people have to compromise and either pick an activity that both enjoy or alternate turns with one picking an activity they enjoy or sometimes doing things alone or with friends. All of these are reasonable options for avoiding disappointment and hurt feelings.
The bigger issue is that he interrupted her during the conversation to go back to what he was doing with his friends. People can say "Nah I don't really like that." But they'd also make plans for something different. OP, if this is new behavior, have a nice chat together about effort towards your relationship. If not, you've chosen to live with this attitude for two years and you're putting up with something that should have been addressed during one of the first times it happened.
