Way to "protect" your daughter, by making sure no man will ever want to date her, and she'll end up alone, lonely, and bitter for the rest of her life! I hate over protection... You do something *if* and *when* the guy does something wrong, don't threaten him from the get go to scare him off... Not to mention that, by doing that, you're teaching your daughter that she can do whatever the hell she wants and the guy will be the one paying for it. If I was OP, by no means I'd keep dating his daughter. If the dad is crazy enough to threaten someone whom his daughter trusts enough to introduce to him, I'm sure the guy doesn't actually have to do anything wrong to get beaten up as long as the daughter decides to be the one acting like a prick and gets upset over nothing (which will happen eventually, because everybody has those moments).
