If you can't tell her the truth, point out all the horror stories of 'sexting' (Ye gods I hate that term) gone wrong. Text sent to wrong person, text read by wrong person, autocorrect in text doing **** knows what to the message. Also depending on her age, legal issues might be possible. Or, you know, just tell her the truth.
