You tried

Today, after my sister's wedding, a bunch of people were dancing. I noticed my grandma sitting alone and looking sad. My grandpa died last month, so feeling bad for her, I asked if she'd like to dance with me. She seemed a lot happier, until I accidentally caused her to fall and break her arm. FML

Taking breakdancing a little too literally there. Hope she's ok.

At least you tried! Nobody else was trying to cheer her up it seems.

Aww that's so sweet, though! I really hope she's okay. Feel good about yourself. You seem like a sweetheart =]

not many people would have done that, props to you man! as for her, I hope for a speedy recovery and I'm sure that she knows you meant nothing but the best.

It sucks that happened but it's upset sweet that you asked her to dance. I'm sure she realized it was an accident and is still thankful for the sweet gesture.

the thought is sweet but lets be logical most all people are fragile and there for dancing isnt the right way to go about it. how do you manage to break her arm anyway? were you hip hop dancing or something? seriously

It says it clearly, she fell. Probably tripped on one of OP's two left feet or something and that could happen no matter what dance style you choose. I'm thinking it was probably a more sedate, slow dance.

That was sweet of you, OP. Old people are fragile and it was an accident so try not to feel too guilty.

Op, you are a true gentleman. Accident aside, i'm sure she was touched.
