Almost made it

Today, I came home to find two letters from a publishing house that I'd submitted my manuscript to. The first was congratulatory, stating that my book had been accepted for publishing. The second was apologetic, stating that the first letter had been intended for someone else. FML

Frame the acceptance letter, then tell everyone your work is now out of print and its impossible to find anywhere.

I think you should write them saying you didn't mean to send it to them, but a better publishing company. They may not care, but sometimes it makes you feel better to be a bit snarky.

I bet they're probably laughing a big TROLOLOL right now, too.

Somehow your picture works perfectly with your comment.

Total buzz kill. You're almost there, though.

Hey, I got one book published, but all of my FMLs have been rejected. So congratulations for this exclusive publication!

Do your books and your fmls suck equally?

SirCharles, show some respect you thundercunt. This is a founding mother of FML you're addressing.

It's better than if the letters were spaced by a few weeks. After bragging to everyone about your success, you'd have a lot of 'splainin' to do when the truth came out!

Don't be too disappointed OP. Publishers turned down Harry Potter at first. Be determined, keep improving your craft and you'll get there eventually.

J.K. Rowling got rejected many times before she found a publisher who accepted her work. Look where she is right now. Keep your heads up!
