Are you a wizard?

Today, I took my 9-year-old sister to an ice cream shop. There we met a boy about her age, who started a conversation with her, told her she was pretty and they ended up exchanging numbers. I'm 24 and so far I've never succeeded at getting a girl's number like this. FML

Home number or cell? I hope a 9 year old doesn't have a cell phone for anything but emergency calls.

It's just a number.... Heh. Kidding. Actually, that is kind of funny. I'm sure you'll get lucky soon, man.

And you let all this play out in front of you?

Anybody else concerned why two 9 yr olds have phones to exchange numbers with??

to cal 911 in an emergency,so mom or dad can call if they are going to be late picking them up all sorts of reasons.

Keep trying! The more girls you ask the less likely you'll be turned down

Rule #2 of being the big brother: You never let the younger sisters date until at LEAST 15 years old. YOU FAILED.

Yeah because your sister is property and doesn't get to make her own choices does she?

Apparently, sarcasm is a weakness of yours.

#30, Donald Trump is about to become a major party presidential nominee. In light of that, how can you possibly expect anyone to know you're not being serious, especially through text?

Yeah, sadly there a quite a few people who actually believe things like that so it can be hard to tell what's joking and what's not..

What I wanna know is why the **** does a 9 year old have a cell phone?

Everyone seems to be having a fit that they exchanged numbers and acting like they are going to start properly dating, kissing and having sex etc. It's simple, 9yo boy meets 9yo girl in ice cream shop, he thinks she's pretty and they seem to get along well so they decide that they want to be friends so they exchange numbers so that they can call each other and develop the friendship. So what the hell is wrong with making a new friend these days? Also, it doesn't say whether is was cell phone or land line but who cares? I've seen plenty of 9yo and younger kids with cell phones as a means of contact for the parents. There is nothing wrong with this and if the kids use this technology to help develop new friendships then great! /rant
