Today, I took my mom out to a fancy restaurant, and spent close to $300 on her Mother's Day present. Later, my little brother drew her a card with crayons on pink construction paper. She cried. He's 20 years-old. FML

just goes to show money doesn't buy happiness

At least your Mom cares for the sentimental things. Mine bitched at me for not getting her anything. I'm 1,000 miles away and unemployeed. Called her several times throughout the day to at least wish her a Happy Mother's Day. She never picked up. She only called back to bitch at me.

Why do you think she cried? HER 20 YEAR OLD SON DREW HERE A FREAKING CARD! She thinks he's retarded

I gotta admit, it's cute.

Is your little brother retarded?

#9 and #11 said what I was about to say...he must be stuck with the mind of a 5-year-old or that would've earned him a stern eye-roll at best.

This kind of thing happens all the time in my family. The people who make less effort are rewarded more for it just because it's a freakin' miracle if they bothered to do anything at all.

Maybe she was crying cos she realized that she did a bad job raising ur brother, and he'l never be able to afford to buy her presents cos he's a delinquent?

For everything else, there's MasterCard.

It came from the heart and was very personal. It probably took her back to a time when he was just a young kid and no all grown up. I bet he's the baby of the family as well. Sometimes things matter more than just how much money you spent. haha #18 #16 what makes you think this wasn't something he put a lot of effort into.

LOL number 11. I bawled when my daughter gave me my mothers day card that she colored with her dad--- shes 2. Dont think id bawl if She was 20 and gave me one though.
