Bad timing

Today, I called my husband and he told me that he was going to invite his friend Jeff over that night. I told him I would prefer that he didn't come over. He took it to mean that I wanted to spend time with him and came home with flowers. Then had to tell him I was leaving him. FML

To all the assholes calling the OP a "b*tch", why don't you think about the fact that she might be in a terrible marriage? Just because he bought her flowers doesn't mean he's the greatest man in the world. My ex-husband bought be flowers four hours after he threw me through our glass back door.

What's up with all the YDI's here? She deserved it? The only somewhat-good point I see here is that his bringing flowers indicates that he still really cares for her, but that hardly implies that they weren't communicating, or that the OP is a bitch. Sometimes breaking up is the right thing to do (WTF #19? It's only right to break up with someone if they're cheating?!); his bringing flowers says very little about the state of their relationship.
