Bad timing

Today, I called my husband and he told me that he was going to invite his friend Jeff over that night. I told him I would prefer that he didn't come over. He took it to mean that I wanted to spend time with him and came home with flowers. Then had to tell him I was leaving him. FML

God, poor guy. I hope your happy.

WTF did you leave him? I mean...he gave you flowers! He effing ditched his friend to be with you! Do you have ANY IDEA how hard it is to get a guy to stop gallivanting with his friends and come home to you with a bouquet of flowers? God. I SERIOUSLY hope you left him because you felt that you weren't good enough for him or some other good reason because this one sure does need an explanation.

FHL, not yours. Why the hell are you leaving him? Sounds to me like he's a great guy.

#266, your caps lock is on and your punctuation is turned off. I usually don't pass judgement, because there are always circumstances. I'm guessing that one of those circumstances is that you cheated on your husband. Why else would you feel guilty? Have fun missing out on life with a man who, in all likelihood, loved you very much. Enjoy the fact that you get to spend at least some part of your life knowing that you ruined someone else's.

you couldn't have waited a week?

Never met a guy who asked for permission to have friends over and brought home flowers just to spend time with his wife, who was a douchebag, or abusive and I've known several of the latter. FHL and this chick doesn't deserve him. She's probably doing him a favor in the long run, but she'll get the house and the money. Aint it great living in America?

YDI. It shud be ur husband writing here; Today, I told my wife that I'm inviting Jeff over. She said she'd prefer not to have him over, so i thought that she wanted some quality time with me. To phone Jeff to explain to him why he can't come over i spent £5, to buy my wife flowers to show that i get what she means by "i would prefer if he didnt come over" i spent £25. To get dumped, priceless. FML.

Guys...seriously...why can't it be **** BOTH their lives??? Are you really so stupid that the website is actually forcing you into binary thinking JUST because you have only a binary vote? You don't know jack shit about their marriage or their lives leading up to this event, yet you are going to pass judgment on her as a person based solely on it? Was she about to give her husband some of the worst news of his life? Yes. Did she care enough about it that it was gonna be hard for her too? Yes (this is an FML, after all). Did he innocently and unknowingly make this personal tragedy an order of magnitude more difficult by reaffirming one more time how much he loves her? Yes. So, he's losing someone who is clearly the love of his life. F-His-life. But, she's sensitive to this fact, and yet had this made tremendously more difficult. F-her-life. Therefore, **** BOTH their lives. Q-E-*******-D
