Today, I called my husband and he told me that he was going to invite his friend Jeff over that night. I told him I would prefer that he didn't come over. He took it to mean that I wanted to spend time with him and came home with flowers. Then had to tell him I was leaving him. FML

Today, I had a fight with my boyfriend over a girl he is close to. He later arrived with flowers for what I thought was an apology. He was actually breaking up with me; the flowers were for her, he just didn't want to leave them in the car. FML

For everyone saying OP is a bitch, who are you to judge someone else's marriage? You don't know how long they've had problems. It'd have been more cruel to string him along and add more emotional complications, like kids, and prevent him from meeting someone who really loves him. We're not living in the Hallmark channel here---life happens so get off your high horses and stop being so judgmental. You fall in love, you fall out of love and you can't always help that. She has no obligation to stay in an unfulfilling relationship. She could have done way worse, like leave without a word or dump him in front of his friend. Is it FHL? Definitely, but FHerLife too because it made an emotionally tense situation even more difficult.
