So I'm assuming you're a teen who hasn't been taught gun safety, so here's the most basic two rules: 1. Unless you have personally cleared the chamber and removed the clip or magazine, it's loaded, and even then, assuming it's loaded isn't a bad idea. 2. Guns are pointed at the ground unless you're in combat shooting someone. Remember this next time you get near a gun, and for the love of god, DON'T play with them--get a Nerf gun instead, you can actually shoot at things with those.

To all of you saying that one should always consider that a gun is loaded, the first safety rule should be: if you display a weapon, it must always be unloaded. Even better : any stored weapon must be unloaded. And even better: don’t own a gun, you don’t need one. And if you’re American: your country would be much safer if you had strict gun control laws. You don’t realize how crazy you appear to the rest of the world. No where in the Western world are children at risk of a mass shooting while at school to give just one example.
