Be more specific

Today, my shoe fell apart a few minutes after I got to work. I called my boyfriend and asked him to bring me the "pretty black pair" in my closet. What did he bring? Black stilettos. I'm a waitress with an eight-hour shift. FML

I guess if you say 'pretty black pair' it makes your boyfriend think of a shoe like that. Maybe just say 'black pair' next time.

At least they were YOUR stilettos, right?

Some guys don't know fashion, you need to be really specific when telling them to bring you something.

Guys don't know what "pretty black shoes" mean.

He meant well but boys are clueless about shoes. You could have been clearer but yeah that sucks.

Ugh everyone is so ridiculous with "guys, don't know". I'm sorry but EVERYONE would be confused by such a vague discription. I'm a girl and heels are pretty. If she didn't specifically mentioned that she would need to wear them for 8 hours, I would have assumed she meant the heels. It's not about being a girl or a guy, stop being sexist.

All this casual sexism :/ Anyways. On one hand, he probably brought you what he thought were a pair of pretty, black shoes. On the other hand, he could've used his common sense. So, both voted here.

have him go back home and switch them.
