Big baby

Today, I discovered that my 100-pound Rottweiler is absolutely terrified of (drumroll please) orange peels. Yup. A byproduct of my lunch will turn this hulking monolith with teeth into a whimpering puddle of pee. FML

Lots of dogs dislike citrus from what I've heard. So maybe he was reacting to the smell?

My 125 lb Rottweiler gets scared of rain, even a light drizzle will stop him from going outside.

Well luckily , robbers don't carry orange peels around.

my sisters dog hates oranges too, she barks rabidly at them. weird lol

I know what you mean, my 70lb lab hates water. I water the yard and he heads for the porch. I bought him a pool thinking it was the hose or the running water he was afraid of, since I rescued him from an abusive home. Nope, just afraid of water in general. On the up side though, my neighbour's pup loves coming over and playing in it when they put him outside.

Is he adopted? If he was abused before you got him...it might sound weird but some people use oranges in a bag to hit people and animals because it supposedly doesn't leave bruises. The smell might trigger that reaction of fear. Like doggy PTSD. My cat's previous owner tried to drown him and now if he hears water running in the same room, he has a panic attack and hides for a day.

I hope for your carpet's sake you're kidding about the pee part.

My cats are scared of the vacuum. They've learned to accept going out back as a compromise from running in terror every night.

Smell is a very strong trigger for doggy traumas...
