well before I commented at all people were insulting thin thighs so yes i may have come off a little insulting to them but that is okay because according to you it is "fair game" to insult people who insult you oh and for the record, even though i want to gain at least 15 pounds, i still don't want my thighs to touch because that would make running really uncomfortable with chafing and everything...
Ugh I hate it when people think you're anorexic because your thighs don't touch. I hate that they don't and it doesn't help when people say it's disgusting. I'm 5'2" and weigh 90 lbs. I'm lightweight, but the only reason some people's thighs don't touch is because some people have massive hips like me.
love4running sounds like she has some confidence issues. . . no one was insulting you personally, but you decided it was all about you. However, none of them (prior to your comment) were pointing fingers at you. Just throwing this out there. . . I'm 5'4", 140lbs, and quite proud of it. I have muscle, not fat, and I have it in all the right places. Ask the guys which celebrity they would rather date. . . Twiggy or Carmen Electra. So that's my two cents. . . added out of boredom. To whoever wrote this, your body is fine. Don't listen to anyone else, believe in yourself. All body types are beautiful in their own way. Plus, its all in the personality anyway. Bodies, faces, and other things change over time, personalities stay relatively constant.
Most peoples thighs touch. Its ok its normal and if they dont either they are just built that way or have made it so they dont touch.
people should lay off on love4running, she already apologized for her phrasing, sheesh. also a small but judgemental minority of thin people makes everyone hate us. i think that's especially true in america, where body image and health issues are at fever pitch. feelings are running high and people on both extremes can get militant and defensive.
aha, im a 120 lbs guy and my thighs arent that far from touching, shes prlly one of those weird 14 yr old annorexics
I think the PostSecret girl just spends too much time with her legs spread to know normal thighs are supposed to touch :) It looks gross when they don't
That's an ignorant thing to say and insensitive, too. My best guess is that the girl who posted the secret was anorexic and therefor really concerned about anything indicating that she's even close to being somewhat fat, aka in her mind healthy weight.

this isn't so bad really. your thighs touching doesn't mean you're fat or anything.
I bet her thighs never touched cause there's always a guy in between them!
