Blast from the past

By fat_thighs - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I read a PostSecret that said, "I'm afraid my thighs will start to touch soon." My thighs have always touched. I didn't even know thighs weren't supposed to touch. FML

this isn't so bad really. your thighs touching doesn't mean you're fat or anything.

I bet her thighs never touched cause there's always a guy in between them!

Don't sweat it. I'm 110 pounds and my thighs touch. Its natural. The person with that secret might have an eating disorder or something, as thighs normally touch.

#327 not everyone wants to be a stick and it's pretty arrogant to assume everyone's jealous of you. most likely they just feel sorry for you. what's it like to have such a shitty body image that you freak out if your thighs touch?

336- I never said I would freak out of my thighs touch...... I really don't care, I just don't think it is right to insult people's bodies

#21, that kind of response is EXACTLY why people say what they do about thin people. the whole "you're just trying to make yourself feel better" bull crap. piss off.

oh ok #337 no one should insult your stick thin body (gleaned from previous comments--85 lbs at 5 foot 3 doesn't sound very healthy at all to me) but it's perfectly okay for you to insult people who aren't rail thin (#139, for one). makes sense to me. hypocrite. your metabolism is going to quit on you and i predict a major freakout when you actually start looking like a human being.

#338, I never said I wanted to stay skinny. In fact if I'm not mistaken I even said that I have been trying to gain weight for quite some time. So no, I will not "freak out" when I finally reach my goal. Oh and in my comment (139) I did not mean to call people who have thighs that touch fat, but I guess it may have looked that way. I just meant to say that I don't insult people who are overweight, so maybe people who are underweight deserve the same respect.

this is your comment: "my thighs don't touch and ok, i am a little thin (85 pounds and 5'3") but i am not anorexic and not ugly and i don't go around telling you guys with fat thighs that you have a problem so STFU" no, that's not calling anyone fat. thighs that touch != fat thighs, sry2say. idc how much you weigh but if you're going to insult people who weigh more than you do it's fair game to insult you too. don't dish it out if you can't take it.

I wish mine didn't touch. I can't wear skirts or dresses because they rub against each other and make it hard to walk.

whatever...for some reason weight is a really touchy issue for some people, i shouldn't have said anything
