Oh shut up. You clearly have no idea what it's like to have social anxiety cause if you did, you wouldn't have written your comment. It's not as easy as "get over it" or telling her that she has no spine. Have some empathy.
Next time, say something like, "thanks, it's for you", or "glad you like it, you can keep that copy"
You can go up to him and tell him that it was a gift, or say: "since you liked it so much, you can keep it."
"Hey since you liked my book so much I thought I'd get you a signed copy!" There, problem solved.
