Today, I finally got the courage to ask out the guy I've liked for a long time. He's a cashier at a grocery store. It was about 1am and I was his last customer, everything seemed just right. Just when I was about to ask him to the movies, a drunk girl stumbles in and asks him out. He said yes. FML

Why would you try to start a PERSONAL relationship with something IMPERSONAL like a text? If you did it in person you wouldn't have this problem...

No offense... but YDI. You don't text someone asking if they want to go out, you do so in person. Especially if you are neighbors.

Hang on, how did you know that your text was the reason they got together. They could've been flirting for months and he could've asked her, this might all be a coincidence (?)
