Wow, Aya, from "Children are a beautiful blessing" to "We have too many people in this world" in two comments. I'm pretty sure it gave me whiplash, but I'm impressed. That said, I'll throw my hat into the ring. "Children are a beautiful blessing" and "you should be happy" are throw-away platitudes that offer no comfort to some of us. This FML is the stuff of my nightmares. Getting knocked up would be devastating for me, physically and otherwise. If OP's in a similar situation, such "comforts" are both condescending and downright nonsensical. I'm fine with others having kids, and I'll happily rejoice with my friends and family when they're rejoicing over such news, but since OP saw fit to put this on FML, I'm guessing that's not the case here.
Guess u're not too thrilled to be a mom...should've used protection...lol. And ppl ENOUGH with all the abortion comments..damn! This bitch said nuthin about it on her post!!!
Arg. Should've read all the way through the thread before replying. Aya, again, you seem to be projecting your own feelings onto the OP with "having that happiness, then giving it to someone else's arms." I understand you were talking about your personal feelings there. But when you take it with what you've said in 26, it certainly seems like you're assuming either this OP would feel the same way, or *should* feel the same way. The former is merely narrow-minded; the latter is, again, condescending and a tad judgemental. I'm honestly not trying to pick on you here. I only bring this up because I tend to agree with your comments, and if I don't, I at least consider you to have a generally level head and open worldview. Thus, this whole thread surprised me a bit.
I need A DD and seeing how you have nothing to do for 9 months...Uhhh wanna be my driver?
The first time I got pregnant I didn't realize it until almost the third month. I had bleeding like a normal period even though it wasn't, I didn't have morning sickness, and I didn't have mood swings at all. I was on all sorts of anti-depressants so my weight was up and down and I thought the weight gain was from my new medicine. Not everyone knows exactly when and now I can recognize the beginning symptoms at least. And now if I have a positive home pregnancy test I have to go in and get an ultrasound when I find out because of complications due to an ectopic pregnancy. I also used many types of contraception: the pill, condoms, spermicide, etc and I still got that way. Every woman's body is different, just remember that =)
NICE
people! people! we are here to comment on the FML's not other people comments!
I completely agree with 97! And I will add that Pro Choice is not Pro Abortion, its the Choice part thats key there. Im Pro Choice and chose to keep both of my "unplanned" children. But if other people want to have abortions then thats their decision. It kind of reminds me of a statement I read somewhere. "The only difference of people with tattoos and those without, are those with tattoos dont care if others dont have tattoos." Im Pro Choice with tattoos lol Guess that makes me liberal :P
Keywords
Yeah, because it's impossible to get pregnant when using protection.
Its called 'Protection'. Next time use it.
