By Noname - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I had to tell my super-conservative parents that I had just gone to visit the boyfriend I'm not supposed to have so that I could tell him I'm pregnant. FML

Poor thing. This really sucks. I'm also sorry for all the negative comments you've received. No one knows your situation or what happened. It is true that when you choose to have sex that you choose to take on the risks involved, but as there are so many variables, it is unfair for anyone to judge you for your present situation. Try to take care of yourself, maybe look into some non-religious counseling, even if just a teenage hotline. Also try to remember that no matter who tries to tell you what- it's still YOUR body and YOUR decision.

Guys, maybe if she weren't raised by super conservatives she would've known more about protection, hm? Goes to show where abstinence only education gets you.

For all those who are ridiculing #20 for being an idiot, take a look in the mirror; you couldn't tell a serious statement from a joke if it slapped you in the face. He was obviously taking a jab at the mindset of those who can't be bothered to use any form of birth control, hence his lament about another welfare baby bringing the economy down.

this is why you shouldn't be having sex at the age you are which im considering your a teenager. I'm a teenager too and im just choosing to wait till im older or married to have sex because things like this happen and these sex stories having to do with teenagers are annoying. just wait! abstinence is key haha

#42 30 is serious. and i really am a girl. if you have anal sex and you ejaculate into the ass it can run into the ****** and there is a slight chance of getting pregnant... thanks DC for actually knowing something.

I'll give #48 a few years before youthful idealism goes out the window and peer pressure sets in.

@51 Have you ever -had- super conservative parents? Yes what you stated is reasonable, but some parents go beyond that. They ban parties of any kind, boyfriends, school socials, and control when you're allowed to watch a movie or go out with friends. They can also do things like limit computer time/TV/basically time on anything with a screen to 1 hour per day -on weekends- or they pull the plug. I was in that situation when in high school (minus the pregnancy) and it sucked, but it turned out okay in the end. I think she just said that to emphasise how hard it was to tell them. But I do agree that if you make the decision to have sex you're also making the decision to accept the consequences for your action. I feel for you though, and it does suck. I don't see how #13 thinks it isn't FML worthy =/ anyone getting an unplanned pregnancy has most probably just had their life plans f'ed big time.

#55: Or it shows that being super-conservative is just plain pointless. But alas I suppose its besides the point.

#42 I said if I decide to abort. He doesn't need to know there was a fetus to begin with because there would be no way he'd change my mind.
