Today, my mom broke the news that my dad secretly got married two months ago, to a woman he has been dating for 15 years, and that my parents have actually been divorced for 12 years. They just lied about it this whole time. FML

#48, how much do you know about your parents' sex life? How much do you want to know? Most kids have no idea if their parents are ******* like rabbits or have a sexless union, and they want to keep it that way. It would not be hard for them to remain partners in a child-rearing corporation even if there is no sexual or romantic bond between them.

I'm sure they got divorced when he was young, and continued to live together, it wouldn't be that difficult if you were willing to continue living together.
