Bunged up

Today, after months of incredibly painful stomach cramps, I convinced my mom that I needed to see a doctor. Not even 2 minutes into the exam, the doctor tells me that I'm heavily constipated and advised some "prune juice" to help "clear all that shit out". My mom won't stop laughing at me. FML

Who gives a shit about what she thinks?

Well that was rather unprofessional of him. What kind of doctor talks rudely to his patients like that? *whistles innocently*

Hey OP, sorry about your mom :/ . When I was a kid I was constantly (for YEARS) so constipated that I finally had to have an enema when I was 9 or 10 ish. My mom was the same way...

Get a second opinion OP - it could be something much more than constipation , trust me I've lived through Cancer three times now and I always ask lots of questions and get another opinion because when I had colon cancer they thought I was "Constipated" or had a bad stomach bug .

Been there.. My folks still make fun of me.....

That could be serious! I had that and it turned out I have Crohn's disease!!!

YDI for not seeing a doctor earlier. Seriously, you deal with stomach cramps for MONTHS before you go see a doctor? Didn't you take a dump in those months?

I am so sorry... I personally think that it is good that you went to the doctor. At least you acknowledged that you were in pain, and were able to bring yourself to get treatment. It was just unfortunate that you were seen by a rude doctor. I had a somewhat similar problem a few years ago, except with my ears; I failed my hearing test in school, and had a bunch of tests done. Turned out my ear canals are just extra small, and produce too much wax for their size. Parent's and doctors alike can be so cruel in these situations. =/ And I agree with the other comments - if you still have pain after taking the doctors advice, you should consider seeking a second opinion.

That's happened to me too...it sucks I know

Lol, same thing happened to me when I was 11. They actually ended up giving me an X-ray before they finally took a look at it and saw that I was full of shit, literally. Ugh, I was so mortified.
