Don't you know the first rule of faking phone calls are too make sure your phone is on silent mode

Well, for 1, if it's your house why not just kick her out? secondly everyone knows that when you fake a call you should actually turn the line on even if it's just dead air. but with cell phones now it will ring when another call is coming in too
Kicking people out is easy in theory... not so much in practice.

I hate mother-in-laws who won't at least try to embrace their child's partner. It's icky how they try and keep control over a fully grown adult and don't respect their decisions. (unless of course the partner is abusive or their child is underage etcetc)
