Next time maybe have a second number that you give her that you have to allow for you to talk to them...that's what I have done
She just needs to die
While I don't agree with faking a phone call I feel sorry for both of you. There are obviously reasons why you two don't get along. Although I don't think the fake phone call is going to help the situation at all. Hopefully one day you'll get along fine.
Also as for people saying I hope she dies... Really?! You don't even know this woman. There could be two sides to the story. I have nothing against op having an issue with her as she knows her. But it's disgusting to think you'll wish death upon someone you don't even know. Wow... Absolutely disgusted.
you shouldve called your voicemail
This is a great example of why you should always keep the door locked.
Omg what happened after that?
In that situation, I would say "sorry I need to put you on hold, I'm getting another call." this would lead her/him to believe that you really were talking to someone.
mine still rings when im talking to people...it hurts.
still she couldn't get the message?

You should have looked her square in the eye and said "hold on I have another call", and answered it
I hate mother-in-laws who won't at least try to embrace their child's partner. It's icky how they try and keep control over a fully grown adult and don't respect their decisions. (unless of course the partner is abusive or their child is underage etcetc)
