HOW could you let your CV go out with checking and rechecking your details? I can't believe how 'deserved' this is...
I'm going to say ydi. Rookie mistake Op.
Well there goes that referral, hope your mistake doesn't leave jobless on both accounts.
You mean you got a text from your boss who DOES know you're job hunting. YDI
So what? If they don't want you to leave then they should ante up. Employees should be no more loyal to their company than their company is to them. Jobs come and go but rarely do they end up on your tombstone.
Completely agree. Well said
Just say you are keeping up to date with your industry by being aware of who recruiting ;)
If you are worth a shit at work, you will probably get a promotion and a raise soon. Even with high unemployment, the supply of really good workers is very slim, and your boss would rather hang onto you than have to go through the hassle to replace you. If you are good at your job, you have a lot more power than you think.

I hope you didn't put detail-oriented in your special skills
Sounds like your boss took betrayal well.
