Ok lets get one thing straight. English is called English because it originated in a little country called England. Funny that isn't it. Learnt is the word we use and if the OP learnt (:P) English while she was at school in France then she would have learnt (oops there i go again) British English. Of course its going to change from country to country thats how these things work. Languages are dynamic they are supposed to evolve and change. For whats its worth I think the American spellings of certain words make a lot more sense. Oh and btw I'm Scottish, I may speak British English but i sure as hell dont speak it properly :D

you should sue his ass for defamation of character and get a restraining order. the next time he tries to pull this he'll think twice if he's broke and in jail (again).

wow this is stupid! yes, we landed on the moon. that was all cleared up already. and no americans arent the best people in the world, but neither are the brits. we have still to this day people that participate with the KKK, every country has rapists, murderers, thiefs, and God knows what else. the british basically screwed things up in africa, you have people killing people just because they arent like them[1994, Rwanda], you have children mining for diamonds, children missing because Joseph Kony is building up an army full of children, and many other things. and america isnt the one who wants to control the world, that was the uk, trying to run africa and then just basically saying "oh well we dont care anymore so goodbye." so if you want to have a debate on america and the uk let me call up people that took world history this year and then lets see who the dumbasses really are and which country should "take the prize" for being the best. oh and by the way this is coming from a FIFTEEN year old, obviously our generation is better than you think(:
