Ummm...boo hoo? Welcome to the entertainment industry. Who's this "She" anyway?
*cue piano* JUST A SMALL TOWN GURL LIVIN IN A LOOOONELY WORLD SHE TOOK THE MIDNIGHT TRAIN GOIN' ANYWHEREEE
A SINGER IN A SMOKEY ROOM A SMELL OF WINE AND CHEAP PERFUME FOR A SMILE THEY CAN SHARE THE NIGHT IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON
I used to hate that song until my daughter sang it and I realized: It's a good song when sung by a pre-teen girl. For an ugly grown man with greasy, stringy hair to sing it in the same register is creepy and annoying.
Work on your acting and try to get input from someone who can offer constructive criticism (Hint: your mother probably isn't one of them). I have no way to evaluate your current acting ability, but it will suffice to say that people tend to overestimate their abilities. Asking the casting director for her advice wouldn't be a bad move either.
An unemployed actress? In this economy? In Michigan? I cannot believe this, this must be fake. Here's your new script: "Welcome to McDonald's. May I take your order?"
FTW. Nice one!
Could be, but with high school plays, they usually at least pretend that they are going to consider you. It seems that such blunt cruelty would more likely happen in the real world.
what 'she'?
Don't worry about it. I (along with most people I know who regularly audition for things) have really bad luck with auditions. I seem to only actually make the list for about 10% of the ones I go for, which seems to be pretty typical.

Don't worry about it. The director was very rude to say that, but if you are planning on acting you are going to see a lot more of that. Don't let it get to you, just keep auditioning... and don't listen to the people posting negative comments, they just have no life. Break a leg in your future auditions!
Who is this mysterious 'She' you speak of?
