Caught in 4K

Today, my girlfriend left her phone on a bus. With no way to pick it up, I drove 40 miles through Friday night Boston traffic to get it from the bus company office. It took me four hours. Bored in traffic, I discovered the texts from her other boyfriend. FML

Wow that sucks.. I would texted back the guy and said Hey turns out I'm cheating on you and not tell her that...That would show her..

See, I overreact. So my solution to this would be to go to her house and make her come out side then have her watch you run over the phone :P Numerous times...

Wow. F**k your life. Guess that'll teach her to keep better track of her phone at the very least, eh?

Wow, you are the sweetest guy to do that.

I don't know how likely this is, but has anybody considered the possibility that she wasn't cheating? Unless there are incriminating messages in her SENT folder, she could just be getting hit on by an ex or some other asshole. Also, it's definitely possible (although unlikely) that the two of them have an understanding with regards to the snooping thing. I know my girlfriend can look through my phone whenever she likes, we have nothing to hide from one another so things like checking each others' email and text messages is something fairly regular. **** all the people saying to destroy her phone and get revenge, that's stupid and immature. Confront her about the other boyfriend and see if it's a misunderstanding. You seem like a reasonable guy and you care about her a lot. I'd be a little less forthcoming with my trust until she earns it again if it is a misunderstanding, but depending on the real situation, if you do have a good relationship, you might still be able to salvage it. You're old enough to be an adult about this.

OMFG WHAT A ****! im sorry but there is NEVER a reason for cheating. if you wanna be with someone else, end your relationship first. if you are gonna cheat on your partner, you DONT DESERVE to EVER be in a real relationship with a real person

5 O'clock Boston traffic is about equivalent to being anally raped with a atamanthium-dipped cactus. And I don't condemn you for snooping, you probably just wanted to look at some of the sweet text messages that you guys had sent each other and instead you get slapped in the face with that shit. **** her, there is no excuse for doing that to another person.

you should've thrown the phone in to a lake.

i agree with the top 3 posts. i think you should have pretended to be her and tell the other guy it was over because of the cheating, tell her you couldn't find her phone, wait a couple of days then dump her.
