Caught

Today, my car went missing. My sister constantly asks to borrow it, so I called her and asked if she had it. She swore blind that she didn't, so I called the cops and reported it stolen. They soon caught her driving the stolen vehicle. She blames me and is now telling everyone I set her up to be arrested. FML

YDI OP. You should've know that she had it since she always takes your car. Sounds like apologies are in order.

OP has no reason to apologize to her sister. OP's sister STOLE the car. It is her own ******* fault that she was caught and arrested.

OP thought that was the case, then the sister said nope. Therefore car has been stolen, pretty logical thought process one would think.

If her sister flat out swore that she didn't have it, what was she supposed to think? The logical conclusion would be 'it's stolen' rather than 'my sister is a ******* liar' because you generally don't assume your family to be so awful as to lie about such a thing.

Wow what an idiot, I still can't believe people like this actually exist. Try to Keep your Key very well hidden from her.

That's her own fault. She should have been honest about having it. Why doesn't she get her own damn car?

She deserves it. Don't let her use your car anymore.

Don't let your sister driver your car ever again.

Thank god I'm an only child! Don't speak to her for a while OP, if the situation gets worse press charges (I recommend it as a last resort though)

That's her own damn fault for lying about it.

Why are people blaming OP for her sister stealing her car after being told time and time again that she couldn't use it? It is the sisters own damned fault for stealing the car, then lying to OP. It is not OP's fault that her sister was arrested and she doesn't owe her sister an apology.

drop the charges, it's not cool to lock up the mentally challenged

Usually, a good slap to the face or the slap of handcuffs wizens up folks REAL quick! I see no problem, here.
