Clashing

Today, my daughter came home in tears, completely distraught. It took half an hour to convince her to tell me what was wrong. What horrific thing happened to her? One of her friends wore the same outfit as her to the movies, and apparently that's a betrayal of their friendship. FML

That's a modern day tragedy even Shakespeare couldn't have written

Am I the only guy wondering why this is always a big deal?

I suggest you kill the friend. If game of thrones has thought me anything, killing people who smite your family is the only answer.....

Then have sex with your sister, right?

.... Your daughter is a diva. Sell all her clothing and make her wear potato sacks.

If she's that upset don't disregard her feelings just because the reason seems so arbitrary and ridiculous to you. Instead you should try and cheer her up!

I kind of agree? I once heard that telling someone not to be sad because others have it worse is like telling someone not to be happy because others have it better. So, as superficial and ridiculous as her reasoning is, she's obviously legitimately upset over it and op should comfort her before explaining that wearing the same outfit as your friend is really not the end of the world.

But the problem is it's something completely stupid. I know I couldn't deal with this.

I'm gonna guess she's not the one who pulled it off better :/

Oh lord...diva in the making.honestly I don't see why people get so damn fussy about this, if anything I wind up giggling because I have a clothing twin

I don't get girls who get upset about them and someone else wearing the same thing. It's not like they knew you were going to wear that outfit and decided to wear it to embarrass you.

Never will understand females. Teens or Adults.

I'm a female...I find this ridiculous at any age. It is ridiculous to jump to that conclusion, or to think so lightly of friendship. Do they send pictures of what they are going to wear to each other? Back in my day (I'm not even that old), friends would try to dress alike or get matching outfits as a proof of friendship.

Girls at my school still try to do that matching outfits thing.

and you can only wear your hair in a ponytail once a week...

I've NEVER completely understood this whole "same clothes" thing. At all. I get that it makes you look "together" like sisters, and it's bad if you're not the other girls' friend, but to get in fights over it is the most ridiculous thing EVER.

OMG. No Way, What a tragedy, I bet time stood still.
