Today, I had an important Powerpoint presentation for ALL the big execs at work. It seems that during my lunch break, my boyfriend IMed me on my Mac, saying, "Feeling so horny right now, come home for a quicky like last week?" I didn't see it until the presentation. So did the executives. FML

Why didn't you sign off before the meeting? YDI for not being professional enough to separate work and home.

You can't turn off instant messaging on a Mac?

No he is not a pig! It's kinda sweet really

was it really necessary to say "on my mac"?

I thought that too.... My friend does that and its annoying because hers is a piece of sh*t

Yes, because obviously the IM systems differ greatly. If she was using iChat, all it would have done was pop up and the icon would have bounced...

This may very well be the most idiotic response I've ever read. The FML here is that her employees saw the message, if I had to explain that to you then I'm 99.9% percent sure you're either some retarded teenager or a stupid illiterate tween.

If he messaged you wouldn't the conversation box just flash on the bottom toolbar? when i get an IM the conversation dosn't open...

exactly - OP shouldn't have been running the program in the first place. Another common thing to turn off is the lame-ass Outlook message preview box that shows up whenever a new email arrives.

Uh, if it's a recent mac, the "tool bar" isn't like the Window's toolbar where it flashes orange, it kinda jumps up and down. but most likely, the conversation window wasn't closed completely (just minimized) so it popped up.

yeah but only if you set it to be so, if you dont anytime you get a new message it will pop up on the screen

The executives found out that you are not married and can do quickies? Your future is looking bright!

Yeah, I was going to mention something about the awkward wording. If you want to be technical, you're a grammar Nazi. :-p This does suck though. This is why you should never choose auto sign in on any messenger. It can only end badly.

You don't really deserve it, but I'm voting that way because you made it a point to say you have a Mac.
