Today, my husband and I ran into his high school girlfriend at the mall. We were catching up and my husband told her that we have a daughter. She asked what our daughter's name, but my husband hesitated and tried to change the subject, so I told her it was Juniper. That was her name. FML

Oh, that's a very common name. Probably just a coincidence. I grew up with a class of about 20 and I was the only one NOT named Juniper.

Yeah not gonna lie.. naming your little girl after a past girlfriend.. um.. yeah that is pretty gross if that is why the daughter got that name. I cannot, for the life of me, imagine naming my son after someone I used to sleep with. If the kid is a JR like after their dad, that I get but this? Just eww.

If you originally offered up the name, then he may still feel guilty, but will be fine. If he offered up the name... hmmm .. maybe he just likes the name. I have a few names I always likes and only 1 was the name of an old flame. Depends on motives behind the name more than anything.

Time to legally change her name, if she's okay with it.

hopefully he just liked the name and assumed he'd never see her again. but how would you ever be sure?

What I don’t get is how come you didn’t know her name. And if it was the first time you met her, didn’t he introduce her ?
