Mathematically speaking, your picture makes no sense, the (no+1)s wouldn't even be equal to each other because one side has study and the other has fail, so technically, they shouldn't cancel each other out.

It makes perfect sense. (No + 1) * Study = NoStudy + Study. Likewise, (No + 1) * Fail = NoFail + Fail (or Fail + NoFail seeing as they're both positive). It's the fact that he divided the Study and Fail out of each side of the original equation that makes the (No + 1) the same on both sides. And if you divide both sides by (No + 1), you get 1 * Study = 1 * Fail. Or, as the equation states, Study = Fail. Heck, you can even prove that pigs can fly with logic. It was actually the final exam for my course.

You have no idea what you're talking about. The only "proof" she would need to get a restraining order is a signed affidavit that she'd written saying "I'm scared of him", and thirty seconds of bad acting in front of a judge. Judges hand out restraining orders to any woman that asks.

What #46 said sounds a lot like the procedure we had to go through. They don't come easily. I don't know about every area but here if you are being stalked by someone and don't have their info, you cannot get the order.

It differs from state to state. Alternatively, there could have been a name mixup. I know at least 3 other people with my first and last name, one of whom has the same middle initial. If I google my name, I can get several more hits. When I was buying a house I had to prove to the bank that I wasn't the person they had in their files who had forclosed on a house. These things happen. If he's innocent, I'm sure he can go to court and get it cleared up.

Similarly, my fiancé got charged with a DUI and had his license revoked over name confusion. He and the other man had the same date of birth, and only one letter difference in their names. Depending on the state and jurisdiction, restraining orders are different too. in New York, you have to have a filed criminal charges of stalking or domestic abuse prior. In Alabama, just find the right judge and make a convincing case.

They do need a little proof but they also give you a court hearing to clear it up and defend yourself. My ex and I got into a physical fight (he hit me and threw me off his bed, pinned me down, and I left scratch marks on his face and bit his side). He put a restraining order on me after that, because what I did to him left marks. But 1) because I'm female, weigh 60lbs less than him, 2) He was in jujitsu or something, 3) anyone looking at the photos would see the only way those marks could occur is if we were in the position we were in, with him holding me down... and finally 4) I moved out after that, to a different state 1,200 miles away literally the next day... the judge threw it out and called him ridiculous in court (he was trying to use large words and sound intelligent, to present a clear case over me, and that irritated the judge) He tried to get revenge on me and only got himself burned. It was really f*cking hilarious, I hope he feels like a manly man after all that. Being the kind of person I know him to be, he probably was all paranoid like "the government is sexist, women can get away with anything, baw baw baw" with his dad. I probably ruined all women for him after that. HAHAHA. Restraining orders are a joke anyway - they hardly ever work, if the order is against someone who is that much of a threat anyway, they aren't going to listen to a piece of paper put up an invisible and non-existant force field around you. You are going to end up dead. You need to separate yourself from the person who is a threat, and disappear.
