Sexist?? He was doing something NICE for you, GEEZ. It doesn't mean he thinks you are incapable of paying or that he thinks he's better or richer than you. It means he's being nice. Would you say 'no' if your Dad or sister offered to buy you lunch? I sure wouldn't. If someone's offering to do something nice for me, I'll say yes. Stupid over-the-top feminists. *Real* feminism - striving for equality- is one thing. *Over the top* feminism - acting like we don't need men and refuse to accept any forms of chivalry - is pure stupidity and makes you look ridiculous.
YDI indeed. you don't refuse a gift like that, it's rude. And sexist? Psh. Next thing you know you'll be wanting to stick it in him to be "fair".
You totally deserved that one. People like you make me ashamed to call myself a feminist. Instead of arguing the point to where it became a 'heated argument' a more effective idea might have been to offer to pay once or twice and if he still insisted say 'Well, thanks I really appreciate this. Next time, dinner is on me'. Instead you get to look like a jackass. Good stuff.
ydi theres this thing called chivalry nothing wrong with it. you need to chill the f**k out!
I'm all for equal treatment of women, women's rights, etc. the whole nine yards, but (being a woman) couldn't you just let it go? I mean, you didn't have to get in a fight about it...You really overreacted. If he really wanted to pay the bill, then why don't you just let him pay it this time, the compromise being that you get to pay next time? You're pretty stupid...
its feminists like you that make the rest look bad. YDI no sympathy

girl, it's just polite, classy, traditional. get over yourself it's nothing to get in a heated argument about, either. come on, if you offer to pay half and he declines, accept graciously. it makes you seem like less of a bitch.
Wow...there's really no need to get into a heated argument about it.
