Hahahaha. That's why I've practiced my reaction time. On a flat I'm consistently around .6, but my relay starts are about .11 seconds. On the long races I always make sure I have a slow relaxed start. It's no sense trying to be first right off the gun, especially if you risk wasting roughly 20 minutes of your life.
That's what sucks about swimming, you have to be ready to spring as soon as possible but if you move a milisecond before the buzzer you can be DQ'd. What race did you swim?
Wow, I can't even begin to imagine how much that sucks
First of all: really? all of the girls in all of the midwest? I bet. Second: don't complain! A fair DQ is a fair DQ. I find it hard to believe that if all you did is flinch that the starter wouldn't call you back. Anyway. If you aren't willing to take the risk of being punished when you do something wrong...maybe you should switch sports.
awe that sucks dont worry ive done that a few times
it's easy to win when you cheat.

How is that grounds for disqualification? And shouldn't they have told you before the race started that you were disqualified?
this actually is an fml. i'm sorry, that really sucks. don't let it weigh you down though, it'll only make you feel bad in the long run. :/
