Disloyal!

Today, I was at my boyfriend's house for dinner with his family. His mom cooked up a steak dinner, except that I'm a vegan, but trying to be a good girlfriend, I forced it down. Upon his mother finding out I was a vegan, she called me "disloyal to my beliefs." FML

who cares, being a vegan is for ******* anyways. you must really like that guy to have changed tho. don't listen to what these guys are saying. it's not like you killed a baby for someone. I just hope you enjoyed your tasty steak.

It's because it's rude to say something about someone's meal they serve you. Not what you said.

It's also rude to expect you to eat something you don't. I've turn down food in a nice way. "Thank-you Ms. Suchandsuch. It looks great but I'm a vegan. Sorry, I didn't mention it to you earlier. I'll be happy with just your salad and baked potato". How hard is that to do!?

the real question on everyones mind... how was the steak? was it bbqed or broiled in the over smothered in sauté of onions? seasoned to perfection? or was it just an over cooked piece of leather (the latter is what I grew up with and I'm surprised I didn't grow up and become a vegan!)

OP's boyfriend's mom made milksteak, boiled over hard, with a side of her finest jelly beans, raw.

You not only deserved it but you can hardly call yourself a vegan. It is not that hard to say, "thank you, but I don't eat meat". If you can't even decline a steak what are you going to do when you next go over and they offer you a candy made with gelatin or something with cheese? Just compromise your beliefs rather than politely decline? You fail at being vegan.

why didn't your boyfriend know? why didn't he warn his mum,? silly on both you and your boyfriends part for not telling him/him not knowing you were vegan..

i am sure His Boyfriend knew He will "force it down for Him " I am sure She have swallow the meat for Him b4 !

By 'forcing it down' you meant 'scoffed it down'. You enjoyed it.

Being a Vegan is just like being religious- you just pick and choose the beliefs you wanna follow and ignore the rest right?

lol of all the meats to regress to u had a big ass steak it was good wasn't it.. dont lie hahaha vegetarian fail. ydi... and ur boyfriend deserves a slap for not telling ur mom.
