Distance makes the heart grow further away

Today, I turned down an invite to a huge private party that is rarely given to freshmen in college, because I felt bad that I hadn't had a chance to talk to my girlfriend in a couple of days. I called her a couple of hours later. She answered with, "Hey, I'm at a party. I will call you tomorrow?" FML

You got played. Then again isn't it a little pathetic to have to set aside time to call your girlfriend? It's your fault for not calling her earlier than you did and then you'd still have time for the party. Common sense, use it.

Someone is whipped already. I'm just sayin'.

texting? you can text your gf to plan a time to talk- that way you know that you both can

never ever EVER put stuff like girlfriends in the first place when you have an opportunity that will help you with your future.... unless she's on her deathbed or something.

it depends on the opportunity, because a girl can be part of his future...

that doesn't make sense. why would you wait til 2 hours after the party to call your bitch?

serious? why? He likes his girlfriend. Love isn't that horrible, sappy, or stupid. It's a natural thing that humans nowadays are finding unimportant. We are repressing basic human nature...for a "future" that everyone else expects for us...let him embrace this priority, it's HIS, and life is too short to make other priorities that are set by other people for him.

first...why havent you talked to you girl in DAYS? second...there are so many other options, call before the party or after or the next day. I wouldnt mind putting a girl first, but maybe if you are spending time with her, not to talk on the phone when that can be done anytime

not really, he's in college. it could be a long distance relationship, like a lot of people i knew in college had. i had one. we wouldnt speak in days because our schedules would be different. i didnt have a cell and just had a landline. i was poor. so i couldnt text. i saw him sometimes once a week for two days, sometimes once a month for two days. lived too far away. phone calls would be a big deal after a hard day ...or after several days of seeing everyone except the one you want to see the most.

Couldnt u just call her like after the party or somehting OR maybe invite her

Hmm.....YDI and FYL I kinda know how it feels. But you should've talked about it before hand.

that's unbelievably stupid of you. were you planning on talking to her for the entire duration of the party? wtf where you doing between the time you turned down the invite and the time you called her?
