DIY FML

Today, my dad told me it would be fine to use the mounting tape he'd bought to place paintings up in my newly painted room. I did, but after deciding I wanted to move a painting and pulling it off the wall, the wall came with it. Back to square one. FML

I don't think the painting wanted to be moved...

I sure as hell hope you mean the paint!

What does that mean? Did you pull the wall down? Did you strip the fresh paint off? YDI for not including enough details.

I hear some Alberta houses are made cheap. Like the walls are almost cardboard. no joke. so maybe that explains it.

Y do u think it's called mounting tape?

Everyone is taking the whole wall thing too seriously, they were exaggerating. They didn't say the whole wall, they didn't say they tore a wall down like incredible hulk, some wall came off with it

I wasn't trying to impress him or you with my insults... I'll tell you why. Idc about any of his opinions because I can tell he's a dumbass

BunBun. "you're stupid. " Seriously? You like, full of wit and cleverness? or is it just like U MAD, BRO?

What happened to nails? Too mainstream?

Just continue making squares until your wall is checkerboard!

This happens when you don't let the paint dry fully.... instead of the paint adhering to the wall and the tape later adhering to the paint. The paint attached to the tape and the wall as it fully dried. YDI, just because paint is dry to the touch doesn't mean it's fully dry. look at a can of paint and it will tell you how many days it will take to fully dry

The same thin happend to me last year I painted my bed room and I've been to lazy to fix it.

Paint and tape don't mix. use tacks or nails next time. or even blue putty.
