Today, I took a nap while babysitting my neighbor's kids for the day. I was woken up by an obnoxious sound, only to find the youngest kid holding scissors in one hand, a pony tail of hair stuck down in his shorts, jumping around like a horse. Oh, and a semi-bald patch on the back of my head. FML

Today, I babysat my neighbour's spoilt bratty twins. When I told them it was their bed time, they pushed me over. One then started smashing me with a plastic sword, and as I lay helpless on the floor the other one peed on me. I got owned by two five year olds. FML

Today, I was babysitting for my neighbors. Their 5 year-old had finally fallen asleep at 11 after two hours of stories and songs. No sooner had I tiptoed out of the room did I realize that my phone had dropped out of my pocket onto the bed. It was ringing. It was their mother checking in. FML

Today, I was knocked unconscious by the 10 year-old I was babysitting because it was his younger sister's bedtime and he didn't want her to go. When I came to, their mother was screaming at me for sleeping on the job. In the middle of the kitchen floor. I lost a job and gained a killer headache. FML

Today, I was babysitting my co-worker's son. He was eating Jell-o and spilled it on his top, so I pulled off his PJ's, and went in his room to grab a new pair. I heard a thunk and ran to find him out cold on the floor. His parents walked in on me trying to wake up their naked 3 year-old. FML

Today, I was babysitting my neighbor's kid. We were playing in the yard, when he fell and got a small scratch on his leg. I gasp, and he takes a huge breath in and yells, "FUUUCK!!!" as loud as possible. The parents thought it was me, and the mother slapped me in the face. FML

Today, I had to babysit two kids. It all went well until one of them duct taped a knife to a toy machine gun, lit the barbecue on fire, and ran around like a wild banshee screaming obscenities. The other one got scared and climbed onto the roof of the house. FML

Don't nap while babysitting. You got off cheap. The kid could have got hold of a lighter and decided to play barbeque with the couch. You're paid to watch them. Sleep on your own time.

I'm awaiting to read the FML from the people for whom you were "babysitting" which would go something like "Today, instead of looking after my children for whom she was responsible, the so called babysitter decided to take a nap instead. Thankfully my kids are ok. The bitch was whining about losing some hair. She's lucky I didn't take the rest of her head with it. But now I need a new babysitter ASAP. FML"

I know there is a big debate whether you can cut a ponytail off someone sleeping...if there is a kid young enough for playing horse, he/she doesn't have the hand strength to just chop through and probably not the patience to be really careful, especially at the scalp. This is bs. Don't even start with the "drunken mate". Passed out is different than sleeping. The only chance of this being real is that it was a loose ponytail and OP had really thin hair. Then the kid may have done you a favor, thin hair looks bad long. Sorry...

um, this is why you supervise children. just be thankful you're the only one who was harmed - if something had happened to them while they were sleeping it would be all your fault, the parents might even be able to sue you.

Your damn lucky all that happened was that your hair got cut. It's bad enough to sleep while you are only watching one kid, but with multiple kids involved so much more could have gone wrong. There is a reason those kids parents wanted someone to watch them while they were out, FTL that they got a mental reject like you to do it for them. I hope you tried to complain to them about what their kid did so they found out what an idiot you are. That way not only can they not hire you again they can let their friends know not to hire you either.
