eBay fail

Today, I discovered that the laser disc player I used to have was not in fact a laser disc player but a Pioneer Laseractive. Broken ones sell on eBay for $200 and working ones sell for around $1000. I sold a working one for less than $100-worth of credit at a second-hand store. FML

You should have done your homework first OP! They rip everyone off with the trade in credit.

And that is why you research before you buy or sell anything. And never trust the store workers. Those people have the darnest convincing powers.

This is one of the few FMLs where I'm torn between YDI and FYL

I think he probably deserved it...not checking ebay when selling things is pure laziness, at least own up to that fact. I sold a bunch of stuff to Game$ the other day, and I'll admit I wanted fact that I wanted quick easy cash.

I'll admit the fact that...* sorry, kind of butchered that.

Yup. This is why you always do research. Google, Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon...5 minutes of internet searching could have put an extra $800-$900 in your pocket. You, OP, are a lazy idiot - and YDI

#25, Why not both? *mexican family cheers*

You should've researched it more before you sold it. Edit: Sorry #4 already said that

That's just unfortunate. Sorry OP, FYL. At least you got some money out of it :)

That really sucks OP but you should have checked out the going rate before selling so cheap. People will always find a way to rip you off if they can.

On a scale of $100 to $1000 dollars how devastated were you? It looks like about a $900.

Sorry OP. I'd pay attention more in the future
