Today, I decided to tell my mom about my choice to wait to have sex until after marriage. Coming from a very Christian family, I thought she would be proud. Instead she laughed and said, "Is that your excuse for not being able to get laid?" FML

Your mother is a bitch. No offence to you. But its just mean what she did Im sorry.

I say you should get pregnant and see how she responds. (Unless you're male I suppose.)

Your mother is an absolute G. I wish i had a mom that cool, im jealous.

Yay, it seems many people here are so modern, open minded and free thinking that they condemn anyone who doesn't go with the mainstream attitude! Well done. Oh and kudo's to you for commiting to abstinence. There are many non-religious reasons for doing so but if nothing else it shows self-control, character, and the ability to think for yourself and not just go with the herd so well done.

ur mom rules. i love having sarcastic parents lol

Your mom is hilarious but she is probably proud deep down in the crevices of her soul. LMAO

Okay, that seems really hypocritical that you were raised in a Christian home and your mom said that to you... that's really mean. She could have been being sarcastic, but still... Waiting until you're married to have sex, whether or not it is a religion-based decision, is perfectly acceptable. Whatever works for you. :)

That was a cruel thing to say, because that's not an easy decision to make in today's society ... I'm sorry! And for all the sarcastic "your mom is sooo right"/ "you need to get laid" comments on this thread, too. I believe in waiting until marriage also, so I'm really glad that there are other people out there who believe that sex is something special and worth waiting for. :)

haha owned. Either way, all the christian girls I know, arent that pure sorry to say

Regardless of what others (including parents) might say, it's the right choice. I'm 27, a former D1 college athlete, and still a virgin (in fact, I have waited to kiss as well). My girlfriend (we're moving rapidly towards engagement) is a beautiful girl and has also waited for both. The friends I have who have waited are all glad they did. Keep it up, you've made the right choice!

lmao! great mum, great mum. haha! well you have her blessing now. #91 waiting to kiss? so your first kiss will be when? on your wedding day?
