Today, I was outside with my two new kittens. A woman came rushing over, saying how glad she was that they were outside. She then started complaining that she had only been able to see them through the windows previously. I have no idea who she is or where she lives. FML

Don't let them.out of your sight outside, OP. Kittynappers are real.

Oh gosh my aunt has a wall between her yard and the neighbour's, and the neighbour's dog stands up and sticks her nose over the top, and you can't resist but pet her. My aunt told me her name was Daisy. One day as I passed by the front of the house, the dog and her owner came out of their front gate and I just went "Hi Daisy!" I don't know the owners. The girl stared at me. I just walked on.

And now it's back to keeping them inside. Forever.

And I dance dance dance and I dance dance dance

Did she mention a cat detector van from the Ministry of Housinge? (If you don't get that, do yourself a favour and google it..)

Hey guys, OP here. Loved reading the comments with people referring to the kittycat song. I actually live in a two storey building, and the cats are only upstairs, making it more strange that she can see them from the road. Luckily I have been harness-and-leash training them so they'll only be going outside when I'm with them. They are very friendly and I'll definitely be keeping an eye on them.

Wow. People just do not know how to interact anymore. It might take you by surprise, but those shiny transparent things in your house are for looking out. Observing the scenery. Taking note of the neighborhood. You choose Isolation, not your neighbor! What she said seems to be an innocuous statement. Perhaps it was a couple of times the kittens were IN THE WINDOW and she noticed. It was a perfect chance for OP to break the ice and get to know her neighbor. But got her back up instead. Get some curtains. But don't shame people who notice the cute fur-balls in your windows. And was nice enough to come over to chat. That happens between adults who live in homes ... With windows and yards!!!!

That does not mean they are nice. They may be looking into their homes when the OP has curtains and blinds on the windows. I have a neighbor who tries to look into our windows (that have blinds or curtains) to see what we have and what we are doing. There are people who do this. Also, the OP may not be surrounded by many neighbors. Looking in others windows is not acceptable.
