Fire!

Today, I decided to lighten my hair. I applied the dye and waited 20 minutes. When I went to wash the dye out, the water wouldn't turn on. After my head started to burn, I called the landlord in a panic. Turns out there was a water main break and the entire city block doesn't have water. FML

Holy crap...I probably woulda poured bottled water over my head or gatorade or whatever I had in the house...lol...I hope your hair is not too damaged and the color doesn't look bad...and if it does I hope it can be fixed at a salon...wow this seriously blows...it would only be half as bad if you had been coloring it darker...but bleach...damn...

Wow, that's horrible. I hope your hair doesn't start falling out.

@ Number 19 and others who said check the water first... where on earth do you live that you don't expect to have water everytime you turn on the faucet? Or do you not pay your water bill regularly?

... if only you had a fish tank... That seriously sucks. Ow. (And I'm kidding about the fish. )

that sucks...u should have checked to see if there was water BEFORE you decided to dye your hair...

never mind...most people don't do that... well, that sucks anyway...can you get it back to normal

no one would check to make sure they have water before-hand. it's just assumed. it just was bad timing and it really sucks :(

you should keep bottled water in your fridge...

Yeah, keep bottled water in your fridge for the once-a-decade event that you might have no tap water. Makes perfect sense.
