Today, I went on a first date with a guy I don't know very well. He told me to dress in formal attire, so I assumed he was taking me to a nice dinner. He took me to his brother's wedding, and introduced me as "The One" to his entire family. FML

Today, I went on a date for the first time in almost a year. To keep things casual, he had a couple of his friends join. Oh and by a couple of friends, I mean a party of people from his church. I'm not religious. The date wasn't even half over before I was being preached to. FML

Today, I went with my fiancé to meet his parents. He was really sweet the whole way there, and once we got there he introduced me as 'the girl I'm going to marry'. His parents took one look at me and said, "Are you sure?" I laughed, because I thought they were joking. They weren't. FML

Today, I agreed to go to a restaurant because I hadn’t really been listening and thought everyone was planning a coworkers night out. It wasn’t until the guy who had invited me turned up at the restaurant in a suit that I realised it wasn’t a group event, I’d accidentally agreed to a date. FML

Jesus he's crazy... Run away! And aside from it being uber forward/creepy, it's also a dickish move - A date takes only a little bit of your time... weddings can eat up a whole day!

I would worry about any first date that tells you to dress formally. While I don’t show up on first dates dressed like a slob, I certainly expect them to be casual. This guy is a piece of work, and you need to get rid of him as fast as possible. He either expects way too much out of you or was using you (or both), and that is a reason to say no to a second date.

Also, it WAS his brother's wedding...maybe he's under pressure to get married now? Especially if he's the older brother lol. He wants his family to think he's finally settling down too so they won't all go "Your turn!! Come on, met anyone yet?" xP I have a feeling people do things like this a lot, but they usually warn their dates first haha.
