Today, I went on a date with someone I've been talking to online for weeks. Unfortunately, it turns out they'd used old photos and misrepresented themselves, and I didn't find them attractive at all. Even I'm not that desperate. We ended up having an awkward dinner and I couldn't wait for it to be over. FML

Today, I went on a date. Met the guy at the restaurant, everything seemed to be going OK, but then he spent the entire dinner talking about Pokemon GO, and wouldn't let me say a word. He suddenly stops talking, gets up, says he, "doesn't feel a connection" and leaves. I had to pay the bill. FML

I'm sorry that your heart is crushed but you can't exactly fault the guy for being honest. He could've been so much nicer but he was being true to his feelings. Even if you thought he was meant for you, he clearly doesn't feel the same way about you. Cheer up and find someone else who loves you for who you are :)

As many others have said at least he was honest. If he had tried to be gentle you probably would have tried to rebut him in some way so he took it on himself to just end it there. Can't fault him for any of that IMO. Don't worry if it was meant to be conversation would have flowed naturally obviously it didn't so don't worry about it.

I wouldn't take his comment about having no personality to heart. A guy like that...chances are it's not you and it's all about whatever issues he has. Like being an asshole.
