Today, I told a lady that came into my clothing store that I thought her abstract looking necklace was pretty. She responded, "Oh… That's actually a pipe that goes into my lung." FML

Thats nothing really terrible. At least she took it with grace, and she might have even felt less self conscious of her pipe after.

I definitely see how you might have been a little uncomfortable but really, this wasn't an FML situation. It's not like you said something horrible to her. You probably just soothed her insecurities of having to wear it and having people notice it.
