Today, my father was offered 85 sheep for my hand in marriage. We live in the USA, and he is literally contemplating the offer. FML

I don't know what to do with this, but honestly, it sounds like a "dad joke" it's probably one of his friends making the offer for him, trying to see your reaction.

Hi guys, I really want to thank you all for your concerns. I've seen alot of questions so let me answer a few: What State are your from? I am not going to say what state, but I live in the North East. Was he Joking? No my father was completely serious about it. Did he accept the offer? Fortunately, my uncle and I were able to talk to my father, and persuade him to decline. How old are you? I am 17 years of age Where are you from? I was born here in the United States, but my Mother and Father originally moved here from Sudan. and to those of you saying it was a great offer, I know it was, that's why father was so conflicted. This whole experience had me scared out of my mind, but I am Okay. Thanks for all the support!

Heyy I just saw your comment down here sad you didn’t get more recognition/likes being it your FML still I understand you have bigger problems I hope you understand and realize that once your turn 18 in America you can leave and make your own life. I don’t know you and I probably never will but I can tell you that you will never be happy with a choice you couldn’t make. But if you take a gamble and actually work to better yourself I’m sure you can make it all on your terms . Wish you the best !
